2015 Mitsubishi ASX

2015 Mitsubishi ASX could be the new compact SUV based on the Mitsubishi Cross Runner Concept. This concept was introduced within the name XR-PHEV. Mitsubishi ASX occurs on the European market since 2011. Around the U.S. marketplace, this model comes as the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. In Canada, that is Mitsubishi RVR model.

2015 Mitsubishi ASX – Design

XR-PHEV caused positive reactions from the audience. The new generation 2015 Mitsubishi ASX will not be identical to concept compact SUV with coupe styling. New ASX will be smoother and sleeker with a more slender profile. The new Mitsubishi compact SUV is expected to be the biggest threat to the market, Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai models. 2015 ASX will be placed on the platform of the new Lancer model.

If at the very least, take a package of equipment and systems from concept seen, 2015 Mitsubishi ASX will have a lot to offer to its owners. This is the highest grade of safety and security equipment. ABS, ASC, all-wheel control, electronic brake force distribution, airbags, traction control, etc.. Compared to the current Mitsubishi ASX model , concept vehicle has a redesigned dashboard. Dashboard and the whole console are directed towards the driver and to its easy management.

2015 Mitsubishi ASX – Plug-in-hybrid

Hybrid, with which is equipped  XR-PHEV concept is the same as that in the Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrid model. It is assumed that the same hybrid powertrain we can expect in the serial ASX model. 1.1L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine with direct injection, combined with a small high-efficiency electric motor and high-capacity battery. The engine delivers 136 hp. Together with an electric motor, the output power is increased to 163 hp. 2015 Mitsubishi ASX to the mode, only the electric drive, could  exceed the 84 km.

So far, there is no more official information about the new Mitsubishi Cross Runner SUV. 2015 ASX will be placed on the 17” wheels, with sunroof and the option of heating and cooling seats. Some sources say, that the production model will be built on the territory of Malaysia.  It should be at the market up by the end of 2014. Price of the new 2015 Mitsubishi ASX will not be much different than the cost of major competitors.
